Donnelly Centre Bi-weekly Postdoc Seminars

The bi-weekly Postdoc Seminars Series aim to connect the Donnelly Centre community of ~100 postdoctoral fellows and research associates with each other. Running from January trough June, it provides an opportunity to present ongoing research and get feedback from peers. Speakers can sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, once or twice each season, invited speakers give seminars related to grant writing, job search and other crucial skills for postdocs. Pizza and soft drinks are provided by the Donnelly Centre.

PDF Mini-Symposium

Our yearly symposium will take place on November 8th, 2016, from around 10 am to 4 pm in the Donnelly Centre’s red room. This is a great opportunity to meet new colleagues and talk to an audience that is broader than at the bi-weekly seminars. Talks are 10 min. + 5 min. for questions. Presentation should be accessible to colleagues from outside speaker’s field. A final schedule is sent out a few days prior to the event.

Our keynote speaker this year is Dr. Daniel Schramek, who will share his experience obtaining a recent appointment as PI at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Lunch, refreshments and a small networking reception after the symposium are kindly provided by the Donnelly Centre.

Registration is required for organizational purposes and those interested to attend can follow this link:

Organizers: Yuko Arita (Boone), Mohamed Helmy (Bader), Ulrich Braunschweig (Blencowe) and J. Javier Díaz-Mejía (Roth).
